Are you ready for
a field trip your students will always remember?
Old Florida Museum offers four unique "HANDS-ON" programs designed to be entertaining
as well as educational. Students experience life in St. Augustine
through the struggles and successes of its people in three distinct
time periods of Florida’s history: pre-European history in the Timucua
Indian program; the first Spanish period in the Spanish
/ Fort Mose Program; and the American territorial period in the Pioneer
"Cracker" program. Then students can uncover the past on
their own in the Archaeological Dig program.
Black History tours detailing the
unique experiences of Black inhabitants of Florida are offered during the months
of January and February. For more information on these specialty tours,
please visit our Black History Program page.
All programs follow the Sunshine State
Standards.
